A question that drives me in my profession as a coach and facilitator is: How to reach maximum working pleasure within a team where everybody contributes to a bigger picture?
Beeing a kid in the seventies, I grew up in Northern Germany in a region near the coast. It was not easy then to find an appropriate job and make a living. I was socialized by my parents with a protestant work ethic, which emphasizes diligence, discipline and reliability.
After an apprenticeship as an industrial salesman in a hightech marine company I became interested in how people work together successfully and how they find a good balance between the requirements/tasks and individual motivation to create a positive atmosphere. A question that drives me in my profession as a coach and facilitator is: How to reach maximum working pleasure within a team where everybody contributes to a bigger picture?
In the nineties I finished my studies with a diploma in Psychology with a focus on management and organisational developement.
I became a HR manager in an international brewery in my hometown and built my experiences in a leadership role with all the responsibilities and difficulties. Including building a successful team and also dealing with fears to fail.
In 2000 I turned the table and began my work as a business consultant for the next 11 years in a consultant company. I was responsible for the soft-skill seminars and all related HR topics. After 11 years, I left the company as a senior consultant to establish my own business.
It was at the heights of the pandemic time that a good friend gave me the book of Hylke Faber „tame your crocodiles“. The book helped me a lot to have a better understanding of individual fears and inner conflicts and let me grow in my professional work with clients and teams.
In that time I had the great possibility to connect within our group of three including Hylke in several zoom meetings to share views upon challenges, crocodiles and basically to discover, if we had a common ground to work together on future projects.
I live with my family in Northern Germany near Hamburg and love to be out in the nature, travel around with our vintage camper car and get inspired by music, books and most important… by the people around me.
In our lifestyle, we appreciate the value of our planet and try to do so responsibly.
